Glacier Lake Sand & Gravel supplies ready-mix concrete to projects of every scale across the Mission Valley, Flathead Lake, and surrounding Northwest Montana. Our mixer fleet runs out of our yard at 37246 Caffrey Road in Polson, with a standard 60-mile delivery radius that covers Polson, Kalispell, Bigfork, Lakeside, Arlee, and every town in between.

We're family-owned, locally operated, and built for the way construction actually happens in this region — small residential jobs and large commercial pours, agricultural pads and county road projects, lakefront foundations and high-altitude winter work. When you call our yard, you're talking to people who know what a Montana freeze-thaw cycle does to a slab and who plan accordingly.

Service Capabilities

What We Offer Beyond Standard Delivery

Concrete is more than a material — it's a logistics problem. We're set up to handle the parts of a pour most suppliers don't.

Mixer Truck Delivery

Our mixer fleet delivers ready-mix throughout the Mission Valley. Trucks run scheduled routes from our Polson yard north to Kalispell and south to Arlee — short delivery windows keep your concrete fresh on arrival.

Concrete Pumping

For elevated pours, difficult-access sites, or any project where direct chute placement isn't practical. We coordinate the pump with the mixer schedule so you don't lose time on pour day.

Cold-Weather Mixes

Montana pours happen year-round. We carry cold-weather admixtures, can heat water for winter mixes, and know how to spec a pour that will set properly in 20-degree weather.

Air-Entrained Mixes

Freeze-thaw cycles are punishing on exterior concrete in Northwest Montana. We deliver air-entrained mixes calibrated for our climate — meaningfully extending the lifespan of driveways, patios, and outdoor slabs.

On-Site Material Production

For large projects far from our yard, our portable crushing and screening plant can travel to your job site and produce aggregate on demand. Meets Federal, State, and Local road specs.

Spec Compliance & QC

Whether your project requires a state DOT spec, an engineer's structural calculation, or a custom mix design, we work directly with you to confirm specs and document compliance. Tests and tickets available.

Common Questions

Ready-Mix Concrete FAQs

What kinds of ready-mix concrete do you offer?

We supply standard residential, commercial, agricultural, and infrastructure ready-mix concrete in a full range of PSI specifications — typically 2,500 to 5,000+ PSI. We can also custom-blend mixes to meet engineer or contractor specs, including air-entrained mixes for freeze-thaw resistance and cold-weather admixtures for winter pours.

Do you offer concrete pumping services?

Yes. Concrete pumping is available for difficult-access pours, elevated pours, and any project where direct chute placement isn't practical. Mention pumping when you call so we can coordinate the pump with the mixer truck schedule.

What's the minimum concrete order you'll deliver?

We accept small orders. For very small loads, there may be a short-load fee — but we'll tell you up front when you call. No project is too small.

How far in advance should I schedule a concrete delivery?

For ready-mix concrete during peak season (April through October), we recommend 48 to 72 hours of advance notice. During the off-season, scheduling is generally more flexible. For large pours or multi-truck orders, give us as much lead time as possible so we can dedicate the right equipment.

Do you pour concrete in winter?

Yes. We deliver year-round. Winter concrete may require additional admixtures, heated water, or other cold-weather practices depending on temperatures and project specs. Let us know the conditions when you call and we'll work with you on the right mix and timing.

Where do you deliver ready-mix concrete?

We deliver throughout the Mission Valley and Flathead Lake region of Northwest Montana — including Polson, Kalispell, Bigfork, Lakeside, Arlee, Ronan, Pablo, St. Ignatius, Charlo, Somers, Whitefish, Columbia Falls, Plains, and Hot Springs. Our standard service radius is approximately 60 miles from our Polson yard.

Can you provide concrete test reports or tickets?

Yes. Each load comes with a ticket documenting the mix, time, and quantity. For projects requiring formal test reports (slump, air content, cylinder breaks), let us know your specs when scheduling and we'll coordinate with your QC engineer or testing lab.

Do you work with contractors and engineers on custom mixes?

Yes. Many of our larger projects involve custom mix designs developed with the contractor or design engineer. Send us the spec and we'll confirm whether we can produce it from standard materials or whether it requires special sourcing.
